By opening posex.lk, creating an account, installing the Android or Windows app, or using the live demo, you agree to these terms. If you use PosEx for a shop, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.
PosEx provides billing, inventory, customers, suppliers, cash, reports, printing, shopfront, and related tools for retail in Sri Lanka. Features may change as we improve the product. Some modules need an active account, branch, or add-on.
You are responsible for usernames, passwords, devices, and staff permissions. Keep credentials private. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You must not share one cashier login in a way that hides who made a sale if your shop requires audit trails.
The public demo on posex.lk is a shared sample environment. Do not enter real customer, bank, or card data. Demo data may be reset at any time. Demo access is not a paid licence and may be limited or withdrawn.
Shop data (products, sales, customers, stock) belongs to the business that owns the account. We process it to run PosEx, sync devices, provide support, and keep the service secure. You must have a lawful basis to store customer and supplier details. Keep local backups of critical records where your business requires it.
PosEx is designed to sell without internet and sync later. You remain responsible for device security, local storage, and reconciling sales after sync. We are not liable for loss caused by a damaged device, wiped browser data, or a failure to sync before hardware is replaced.
You must not misuse PosEx to commit fraud, evade tax, attack our systems, scrape other users’ data, reverse-engineer the service except as allowed by law, or upload malware. We may suspend accounts that harm the service or other customers.
Paid plans, if offered, are described at the time of signup or invoice. Unpaid invoices may lead to restricted access. Taxes, if applicable under Sri Lankan law, are extra unless stated.
We grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use PosEx for your business while your account is in good standing. You do not acquire ownership of the software, trademarks, or documentation.
Printers, WhatsApp, Google sign-in, hosting, and payment channels are provided by third parties. Their terms apply. We are not responsible for outages on those networks.
PosEx is provided with reasonable care, but software cannot be guaranteed error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by Sri Lankan law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost stock value, or indirect loss. Our total liability for a claim is limited to fees you paid us for PosEx in the three months before the claim, or LKR 10,000 if no fees were paid.
We may update these terms. The current version is always published at https://posex.lk/terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Courts in Sri Lanka have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek urgent relief elsewhere to protect the service.
